Advisory Board
Ruth Roberts, DVM, CVA, CVH
Dr. Ruth grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She received a degree in Biology in 1986 from Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC, and graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.
In 1990, Dr. Ruth moved to South Carolina and worked on Johns Island and downtown before buying a practice in the North area. During the next 14 years of her veterinary practice, she received training in Ultrasonography, Laser surgery, and practiced at a high level of western veterinary medicine. As time went by, Dr. Ruth began to see that although disease processes could be diagnosed, many pets could not regain a good quality of life, in spite of available treatments. Dr. Ruth developed health problems of her own, for which western medicine had few effective and safe long-term treatments. Out of frustration, she found help and relief through Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2006 Dr. Ruth began studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), and became certified in acupuncture. In August of 2007, she sold her practice in order to open Sun Dog Cat Moon and is now certified in Food Therapy, Chinese Herbology and Regenerative Medicine/Stem-Cell Therapy.

She then moved to Tulsa, OK where she pursued her career in finance before moving to the Lowcountry in 1990. Once out of college, she started her ownership of dogs with a pound mutt and then getting spoiled with Wheaten Terriers since 1981! She has had six Wheatens since then having two now, Abi, 14 months, and Bear, 11 months! During the last few years, she has volunteered her time to S'Wheat Rescues which as the name states rescues Wheaten Terriers and Wheatables that need new homes. She would have a dozen dogs if she could and she would be even more active in all animal rescue efforts if there were more hours in the day!
Lee Gregory, DVM, CVA, CCRT
Dr. Lee Gregory grew up on Long Island, New York. She pursued undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She obtained her DVM from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, with a certificate in International Veterinary Medicine. She received specialized training in animal rehabilitation, receiving certification in canine rehabilitation therapy from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2012. Dr. Gregory lives in Durham, New Hampshire with her husband Michael, their dogs (Winnie, Dante, and Bergen) and cat (Lady Gaga). When she is not being commanded by the cat to administer feedings, or not walking her herd of geriatric dogs, she "picks things up and puts them down" at a crossfit gym, and enjoys watching American political analysis on television with her Canadian husband, preferably while eating or napping.
